Description | Legal administrative assistants are one of the highest paid in the field of office administration. Also known as legal secretaries, they are key members of a legal office for they are responsible for making it run smoothly. Reeves College’s Legal Administration diploma program trains you to become a high status member of the legal office. This intensive program covers all aspects of the legal world. No previous secretary experience is required as the program trains students in all the required areas. Instructors explain how a legal office runs and the specific administrative duties required. Advanced keyboarding, transcription and computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) are all part of the curriculum. One of the most valuable aspects of a legal administrator is their familiarity with the Canadian legal system. During this program, students learn about the court structure and legal rights. Courses cover all forms of law: corporate and commercial, family, criminal, real estate and conveyance, wills and estates, and more. There are administrative opportunities at law offices specializing in all of the above areas. Following a practicum placement, graduates will receive a Legal Administration Diploma Program. | | |
