DescriptionIncreasing demand in recent years highlights a growing need for qualified personnel to work with newborns and toddlers as Early Childhood Educators in British Columbia. This field offers rewarding job opportunities for people who want to play an important role in childhood development. Working with young children can be challenging and fulfilling, and also a lot of fun. Early childhood education can be termed as 'learning through play.' In the Early Childhood Education program at CDI College, students will learn to connect with children and their families, providing quality child care and education in a variety of environments. They'll learn how to engage children through music, literature, drawing, games and many different social and creative activities to facilitate their intellectual and social development. Students are also taught classroom management, curriculum planning and daycare administration. Graduates will be prepared to work in a number of ECE settings, or even start their own business. The ECE program at CDI College includes a practicum placement, giving students the chance to work in the field before graduation.
