Description | Canadian Studies at Glendon College is the in-depth study of the Canadian experience and the place of the country in the world. It provides students with the opportunity to study national issues in both official languages and from a variety of disciplines, including History, Geography, Law, Political Science and Sociology. With courses in 'Language, Culture and Literature,' 'Structures of Society' and 'Economy and the Environment,' you will develop a multi-dimensional understanding of Canada's political and legal systems, socio-cultural and linguistic landscapes as well as its geographical, ecological and historical realities, including in its relationship to Indigenous Peoples. While in the program, you will be invited to participate in the activities of the Robarts Centre for Canadian Studies, which serves as York's research engine for the study of Canada and of Canada in the world. | | |
