DescriptionBe a part of the growing health and wellness industry by enrolling in CDI College’s Massage Therapy diploma program. Professional massage therapists are valued health care workers who specialize in recovery, relaxation, and other wellness treatments. This diploma program begins with fundamental skills in massage therapy, hydrotherapy, remedial exercise, palpation and assessment. Different types of massage treatments are examined so that students experience a wide variety of possible specialization areas. Medical science topics including pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, and pathology are required courses. In addition, students will learn about industry ethics and professional communications. A mandatory clinic internship at the end of the program allows students to practice their massage therapy under the supervision of a registered massage therapist. Graduates are encouraged to register with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Association. CDI College offers career counselling and planning services to students in order to assist with job searching, interviewing, and resume writing. Graduates can find employment in private clinics, hospitals, medical and rehabilitation centers, spas, fitness facilities, sports organizations, and may even work as self-employed massage therapists.
