Description | Classics involves the study of ancient cultures – particularly, the literature, history, and art of the great civilizations of Greece and Rome, from the period of about 500 B.C. to A.D. 500. Courses are also offered on the Ancient Near East and Egypt. During the Spring and Summer terms, you’ll have the opportunity to take courses in practical archaeology at excavation sites in Italy and Greece.
