| Description | Do you have a love of physics and an interest in contributing to modern medicine? In the Medical Physics program at Western, you'll have the opportunity to apply fundamental physics knowledge to developing tools for cancer treatments, the next generation of magnetic resonance imaging scanners and imaging techniques, and miniature lab-on-a-chip devices for studying cells. You'll use advanced computational techniques to analyze complex brain maps. Join the team of medical physicists at Western to investigate these topics and more!
As a student in Medical Physics, you'll also have the opportunity to apply to the Science Internship Program. This program facilitates paid and career-related placements so you can work full-time for 8 to 16 months, following the third year of study. As with a traditional co-op degree, your graduation will be delayed by one year while you acquire marketable skills and work experience.
