DescriptionThe Honors in Applied Mathematics program trains students to apply mathematical ideas to solve practical problems that arise in the physical, life, and social sciences, as well as in engineering and finance. In addition to offering courses in pure mathematics, this program also offers courses that focus on using theoretical mathematics to solve problems -- hence, applied mathematics.

This program can only be taken as part of a BSc with Honors degree. The Bachelor of Science Honors degree provides excellent training in one specific subject. As an Honors student, you will focus on one main field of study and must maintain a higher standard of academic achievement than students in a General or Specialization program. This is the best program if you plan to pursue a higher degree or a research-based or academic career.
