DescriptionThe Advertising and Marketing Communications program provides you with the opportunity to develop your skills for a wide range of communicative professions. Graduates of the program are a hybrid of communication marketing strategists and visual-thinking creative specialists who possess the ability to engage remotely with the latest cloud software while using industry standard devices. You learn the fundamentals of marketing, sales, advertising and communication principles, and media design for traditional, web and mobile platforms, social media campaigns, public relations, event marketing, and entrepreneurship.Through an experiential learning approach, you actively engage in a dynamic and innovative learning process, both in and out of the classroom. You have the opportunity to work consistently with clients and collaborate with industry professionals to enhance communication competencies and learn from real-world experiences. The program emphasizes the integration of creativity and planning by blending projects and assignments throughout the courses.A field placement provides first-hand experience to further prepare you for the advertising industry. A final capstone project allows you to demonstrate mastery in research and design and present an integrated marketing communications proposal to a real client. Throughout the program, you build industry contacts and work towards creating a competitive portfolio.
