Description | This BS/MS program leads to a BS in Healthcare Administration and Public Health and an entry-level Master's degree, an MS, in Occupational Therapy. It is for high school graduates or college students who wish to transfer from another institution or from another major within Husson University. Once you are accepted to Husson University as a first-year student, you can enroll directly into the BS Healthcare Administration and Public Health - MS Occupational Therapy track.
The first two years of study focus on laying the foundation through Humanities and Sciences that are critical for success in subsequent occupational therapy courses. You must meet minimum GPA and grade criteria in specific core courses in order to remain eligible to progress to the third year of Occupational Therapy coursework, referred to as the professional phase. These criteria include an overall GPA of 3.0 by the end of the second year of study and a grade of C+ or better in identified prerequisite core courses. These same criteria are also required to remain enrolled in the School of Occupational Therapy. The curriculum and course descriptions for this program are located in the link, "Curriculum". The curriculum and course descriptions for those enrolled in the MS-only program are available on the Occupational Therapy (MS in OT) webpage. For students transferring into the program before the professional phase, you must already have a 3.0 overall GPA. | | |
