Description | Specialist robotics engineers are in demand - this course will help you develop skills in both electronic and mechanical engineering and prepare you for a truly fascinating, rewarding career. Drawing on knowledge from all the necessary strands of engineering, you’ll develop robotic and mechatronic systems for a range of applications, including modern manufacturing, aerospace and the nuclear industry. While you’ll graduate with a wide skills base, emphasis is placed on complex systems for tele-operated, semi-autonomous and autonomous robots, and incorporates aspects of sensing, control theory, computational intelligence and computing. As well as hands-on technical skills, you’ll develop the critical decision-making, creative thinking and problem solving skills you’ll need to succeed.
