Description: | Nipissing University's School of Nursing has formed a number of partnerships with Ontario health care agencies that allow current RPN's the opportunity to study part-time towards a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Theory based courses are offered through online delivery, while practicum based courses are offered either within the health care agency that the student is employed by or one of our other partner agencies. Admission consideration will be given to:
- applicants who have successfully completed a two year Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) diploma (not certificate) from an Ontario college with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- must also be a current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses in Ontario (CNO) as an RPN
- must also be an employee (with a letter of support) from one Nipissing’s partner health care agencies. A List of active partners can be found on the program page under the Current Partners tab
Please note: This is a limited enrollment program. The minimum GPA required for admission consideration may be higher than the stated minimum. There are two intakes per year (January and September)

- Applicants must be registered and in good standing as an RPN with the Colleges of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Applicants must also be employed at one of our partner health care agencies with a letter of support. This letter needs to be from someone in a supervisory role, such as Director of Nursing, who can indicate they support you in this program. This letter must follow the template provided as part of the partnership agreement. A proof of employment letter is not acceptable. |
