Description: | Offered at the Moncton site, this program builds on students' previous university courses and required prerequisites. This program, designed for students with at least 60 credit hours of university experience, will provide students with an opportunity to complete their Bachelor of Nursing degree in six terms (Fall, Winter, and Summer) over the course of two years and write the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) following program completion.
The Advanced Standing Program (ASP) focuses primarily on Nursing courses during the two-year program. Foundational courses, including several biology courses, are completed prior to starting the program and this knowledge is supplemented during the two years with an additional biology course. Clinical practicum courses provide opportunities for practice where students work with individuals, families, and communities at various stages of the life cycle and in a variety of settings. |
