Civil engineers work in all levels of government and for a wide variety of industries involved in the design, planning, managing and construction of highways, airports, harbours, dams, buildings, pollution control and so much more.
Memorial’s civil engineering program is unique for students hoping to work in the field of offshore oil and gas development due to the university’s proximity to the ocean. The civil engineering program at Memorial is co-operative education-based and offers well-balanced, diversified courses across a wide range of engineering specialties such as structural; construction; geotechnical; water resources; environmental; transportation; and offshore, coastal and ocean. |
