Description:We’ll prepare you for a career in Information Technology (IT), an industry that is transforming our world and workplaces. You’ll study data structures, operating systems, database systems, industry-standard programming languages, software engineering and user interfaces. You can take specialized courses in object-orientation, computer graphics, intelligent systems, computer networks, advanced Internet, expert systems, robotics, parallel computing, and compiler construction. The B.Sc. Honours program offers two concentrations: Software Engineering focuses on programming and systems analysis for application development. Intelligent Systems focuses on research related to making computers behave like humans.

With small classes and a tight-knit student community, you interact with dedicated faculty and other students in an effective learning environment incorporating theory and practice. Our co-op you and graduates are welcomed into the workplace as valued employees in a variety of fields and employers such as RIM, Google, Silicon Knights, IBM, and the Ministry of Transportation. Many Honours graduates go on to successfully complete M.Sc. and higher degrees both at Brock and universities such as University of Toronto, Simon Fraser, Waterloo, and Dalhousie.
