Description: | Step back and consider this odd social animal, the human. From religious rituals to neighborhood games to rallies in the street—everything we do is social. Our societies show common patterns and major differences. Why are we like this, or that? How do we accommodate (or don’t) people who don’t fit in? How do we change, as a group?
You can study anything human within sociology—health, identity, inequality, gender, work, you name it! You'll compare and analyze the different ways that people live and work together and learn how society influences what we do and how we think.
You can complete this program as a Bachelor or an Honours Bachelor degree. Registration in the honours degree usually begins in the second year, but admission may be gained in the third or fourth year provided you meet requirements.
