Learn to understand the artistic, social, cultural and technological contexts of buildings and cities. Study world architecture as dynamic documents that interact with all aspects of human life and experience. You’ll meet fellow students and professors who are also passionate about architecture and its global impact on our social and cultural landscapes. The critical thinking and communication skills you’ll learn in this program open many doors. Participate in regular field trips and study abroad opportunities in locations such as Venice, Rome, England and Istanbul. Our unique practicum program gives students academic credit for working in organizations like Parks Canada and the Society for the Study of Architecture in Canada, or firms like PR-TY Architects.
