Description:Criminal Justice and Public Policy (CJPP) is designed to provide students seeking a career in the criminal justice system, or planning to pursue an advanced degree, with a knowledge base that will enable them to pursue their career objectives. The program offers a unique blend of sociological courses dealing with the criminal justice system, as well as courses in Political Science dealing with public policy formation and implementation. It also provides students with the conceptual and methodological tools needed for further study.

  •  Grade12 English 

Applicants are required to have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), with English (ENG4U), and 5 additional 4U or 4M courses. Students applying to the University directly from high school will be considered for admission to Co-op. Normally, a minimum average of 80% is required for consideration, but exact cut-offs are determined by the quantity and quality of the applicant pool as well as space available in each program. All students, including International applicants, are encouraged to explore Co-operative Education as an option. In order to be considered for the Co-op program in Criminal Justice & Public Policy, applicants and transfers must meet the requirements for the Criminal Justice & Public Policy Major (BAH.CJPP).
