Description:Finance is about managing money and acquiring funds. Through a combination of theory and application, students will develop an in-depth knowledge of investments, financial analysis, financial risk management, and corporate and international finance. An incredibly versatile program, this knowledge can be applied personally, at the corporate level or in the public sector. Students in the finance major select from one of two concentrations:

Financial analysis: Earn a comprehensive grounding in analytical finance through a combination of theory and application using advanced modelling and financial data management systems. Students are well prepared to pursue a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation upon graduation.

Financial Services: Learn the principles and practices of financial services, investments and the corporate finance function. After completion of all courses, students are prepared to write the examinations leading to the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 86] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or Pearson Test of English (Academic) [min. 58]

All applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency if their primary or first language (meaning the main language learned and used as a child) is not English.
