Description: | In the Mobile Applications Development diploma program, students gain a solid understanding of application development practices applicable to computer and mobile environments. Students will learn the language independent programming concepts and techniques such as program flow, programming constructs of sequence, iteration, selection and decision-making in both a traditional programming and object oriented methodologies. The program then explores a number of current programming languages and technologies including but not limited to C#, Java, ASP.net, JavaScript, Python, Android and Swift for iOS, allowing students to master the language specific syntax and coding requirements to translate logical program design into fully functional computer or mobile applications. Upon completion of this program, students will be able to develop fully functional computer and mobile applications using a variety of development platforms and techniques. Students will also learn the fundamentals of Web development with HTML5 and JavaScript.The program also features a six-week, 180-hour practicum placement, where students will be able to test their new skills working in a web development firm. |
