Are you interested in electricity? Want to explore renewable energy tech? Do you enjoy travelling, and want to work in a growing field?
Eaton Electrical has partnered with the Indigenous Clean Energy network to offer two scholarships worth $5,000 each, plus two paid four-month internships with Eaton. If you want to get your foot in the door and start your career, you can't ask for a better scholarship program!
Who's eligible for an Eaton - Indigenous Clean Energy Scholarship?
Any Canadian student with a passion for the electrical field is welcome to apply. The stronger your interest in and experience with subjects like electrical testing and troubleshooting, power distribution, and renewable energy, the stronger your application will be.
There's a couple of caveats, though. Recipients must:
- have a high school diploma
- have a valid Canadian driver's licence
- be willing and able to accept a four-month internship at an Eaton location
While any Canadian student who meets the above criteria is welcome to apply, we want to encourage Indigenous students in particular. Indigenous Canadians are underrepresented in the industry, and we want to change that!
What's the scholarship meant for?
The two $5,000 scholarships are intended for use in post-secondary education: it could be an apprenticeship, a trades certificate, a diploma, or an engineering degree focused on electrical. Whether you're taking your first course on renewables, or you're an old hand, sharpening your skills with power distribution systems, an Eaton-ICE scholarship will help you broaden your knowledge and experience in the electrical field.
Why take on an internship with Eaton?
The four month paid internships with Eaton offer valuable experience working with renewable energy and electrical systems. You'll be in an environment where you can pursue your passion, ask questions, and follow your interests, wherever they may lead. We hope you'll explore career opportunities in the Canadian electrical industry!

Electrical experience questions
Finally, you'll need to answer three short questions about your previous experience. Tell us a bit about your experience with:
